ABOUT STEPHANIE
Hi I’m Stephanie! In 2014, I hesitantly purchased a Groupon for a pole studio that had recently opened in my city. Little did I know, I was walking into a discipline that would soon become my passion and livelihood!
Fast forward to today, I’m the owner of a pole dance app, Pole with Steph, on iOS & Android, an Xpert Certified Pole Instructor, and I’ve competed in PSO competitions and had the honor of being a member of Team USA at the POSA Pole Sport World Championships. I recently placed 1st in Level 5 Championship Division in the PSO Virgo Competition (August 2024)!
Along with keeping up with my personal practice, I have a STRONG passion for teaching this amazing sport. I love helping students do things they never thought they could, I love seeing them gain body awareness that impacts their life inside AND outside the pole studio, and I love seeing their smiles and jumps of joy when accomplishing new things.
Because I had little body awareness when I started and struggled with injuries, I’ve dedicated A LOT of time to studying anatomy and proper body mechanics, so I can give my students a different experience… one that encourages safe and consistent progress. My goal is for my students to feel good during AND after training. I’m eager to teach and share my knowledge and passion with you! a few fun facts about stephanie
My first career out of college was working as a CPA at one of the big 4 accounting firms, KPMG (External auditor). My career definitely took a swerve.
I started fostering homeless dogs when I was 11 years old. We fostered and found homes for over 50 pups (thanks Mom for helping me!) I have a special place in my heart for all animals!
I was born in Illinois and grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
I took an interest in Spanish at a very young age, minored in it in college, studied abroad in Costa Rica, and have a love for dancing salsa and bachata.
